Assessment is the hallmark of being a psychologist and initiating trainees and new professionals into the profession is often challenging. Dr. Dempsey will outline the challenges involved with ethical and culturally competent use of test instruments and test selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation, as well as report writing. Objectives: Participants will be able to describe common challenges for providing supervision in assessment. Participants will be able to outline at least three solutions for circumventing ethical complaints in assessment supervision. About the Presenter: Rachyll Dempsey, Psy.D., ABPP, QME Founder and CEO of Psychological Assessment, Inc., Dr. Dempsey is forensic neuropsychologist; licensed as a psychologist in the states of California, Alaska, and Nevada, as well as being a member of PsyPact allowing her to practice in over 40 states. Further she is Board Certified in Forensic Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). Additionally, she is an Independent Practitioner certified through the California Sex Offender Management Board (CASOMB) and Qualified Medical Evaluator through the Worker’s Compensation Appeal’s Board (WCAB). An expert witness, Dr. Dempsey has been qualified as an expert in neuropsychology, correctional psychology, forensic psychology, developmental specialist, sex offender specialist, competency, malingering, and assessment expert. Further, Dr. Dempsey has taught at UCSF, St. Mary's College, Alliant International University, and been a guest speaker across many CE events and conventions.
